New Dealership Visual Branding
We understand that between coordinating multiple contractors, overcoming unforeseen obstacles and handling timeline pressure, the opening of a new automotive retail outlet can be daunting for all parties involved.At C17media, we employ careful planning to ensure successful execution and with C17media’s experience in large format printing and our expertise with new dealership visual branding we were confident we could deliver on our promises of quality, speed and service for the opening of a new Porsche Centre in Markham, Ontario.
A Multi-Faceted Project // A preliminary consultation with PFAFF Automotive Partners – the dealership’s owners and operators – began while the dealership was nothing more than a set of architectural drawings. Multiple site visits allowed us to identify areas for creating impactful customer touchpoints from sales through to service. This involved determining sizing and placement of branding solutions from outdoor graphics to showroom fabric frames.
Driving First Impressions // First impressions matter to all clientele and patrons. This appeal begins from the moment a client arrives at Porsche Centre Markham. To aid with traffic flow into the service area, high-quality drive-thru graphics were printed and installed on two exterior garage doors. Inside the service area, motorsports-inspired fabric frames bearing the PFAFF Motorsports Porsche GT3 R were installed on three walls above the service reception with the largest being seamless and measuring 360” W by 107” H to create a bold impact in this spacious area.

Showroom Ambiance // In the showroom, the buying experience is complemented by 190” W by 107” H fabric frames installed above the main showroom windows depicting Porsche vehicles in action to provide aspirational value while consumers browse available inventory. Offices feature smaller fabric frames with detailed shots. As clients make their way to the Owners’ Collection area, two 197” W x 118” H fabric prints positioned above the dividing glass, portray vehicles in momentum to heighten the anticipation of hitting the road in a new Porsche.
Inspiring Confidence // To elevate the appearance of key vehicles, bulkheads in the showroom were outfitted with Porsche branding and an inspirational quote cut out of black 3mm PVC. The PVC was affixed using neodymium magnets attached to the rear of each individual letter. To strengthen the passion felt with the decision to purchase a Porsche, two additional quotes from Ferdinand Porsche were also cut from PVC and adhered with 3M adhesive to the Owners’ Collection walls. In employee only areas including the lunchroom, executive and admin offices a touch of Porsche-inspired artwork was also added. Unique to these areas, black and white images were printed and installed on black powder-coated frames to better blend the monochrome images with the frames.
Successful Occupancy // An equally important component of this project was supplying safety signage and vinyl frosting required for compliance with the Ontario Building Code and receiving municipal occupancy approval. Vinyl frosting was produced to code and installed on all interior floor-to-ceiling windows around the premise. On the exterior entrance doors, premium frost stripes featuring digitally cut PFAFF-branding were installed. Wayfinding signage was the final component required to receive occupancy which was produced and fitted in respective locations throughout the dealership.
Odds and Ends // The crux of the project revolved around the printing and installation of fabric frame prints. As with most projects, however, there were smaller components required for a successful launch including cut vinyl decals for exterior doors, metal printed Wi-Fi Placards, and the installation of Heritage Wall artwork.

Bringing it all together // With the physical dealership complete and operations well underway, all of the dealership’s stationery was delivered in a timely manner so that every department could serve their customers effectively with everything from business cards to service forms and sales folders.
